How are you? (Please let me know in the comment section below👇🏿👇🏿👇🏿 ). Today we will be talking about the different types of Adire….whoop whoop!!!! I cannur wait... whoosh here we go again with the grammar🤣🤣. Sorry, I cannot wait to delve in the topic aka enter the topic😉

In my previous post we talked about the History of Adire, if you haven’t read it please do (that was my first ever write up and it means so much to me 😍😍😁). So the major types of Adire are:

• Adire Oniko: Also known as Tie Dye. This resist method is made on the fabric by tying specific area (s) of the fabric with use of rubber bands, ropes, twine etc.

• Adire Eleko: This resist method makes use of Feathers and Cassava Paste to create patterns on the fabric.

• Adire Alabela: Also known as Batik. This resist method makes use of wax and pencil foams (or stamps) to create patterns
• Adire Onibatani: This resistance method is achieved by patterns that have been cut into a stencil.
